Halloween Memories
There are Halloween cartoons all kids love that have transcended time. And there are Halloween cartoons only 70s kids loved because they only showed in the 70s.
I did this Put A Finger Down Challenge on my personal TikTok page. It was a blast remembering the Halloween cartoons we loved as kids in the 70s. See how many of them you know or remember.
Do you remember the series called Festival of Family Classics? For those of you too young to remember, Festival of Family Classics is a Rankin/Bass animated series of famous folk tales and classic literature. They originally aired between 1972 and 1973. You can check them out in this Youtube video .
The Halloween version was called Jack O’Lantern. The storyline is about a leprechaun, who changed himself into a pumpkin seed to hibernate for the winter. He comes to life as Mr. Jack O’Lantern, who uses his pumpkin shell to help scare away Zelda the Witch and Archibald the Warlock.
So put a finger down if you remember that Halloween classic.

Bugs Bunny’s Howl-oween Special
If you’re in your 40s or older, surely you remember the classic, Bugs Bunny’s Howl-oween Special. If you’re not familiar with it, here’s the plot. Daffy Duck and his nephew have their own encounters with Witch Hazel. Watch until the end to see what happens to Witch Hazel.
Halloween Is Grinch Night
The Grinch Who Stole Christmas is a cartoon all kids but especially 70s kids loved. However, many don’t realize Halloween is Grinch night is the prequel to the Grinch Who Stole Christmas. It premiered on ABC on October 28, 1977.
The plot is In Whoville each Halloween, a “Sour-Sweet Wind” blows and a chain of events causes the Gree-Grumps and Hakken-Krakks to arouse the Grinch into descending to Whoville in his paraphernalia wagon and wreaking havoc in the town in “Grinch Night”. All of Whoville dreads the smell of the wind as an omen, and everyone retreats to their home as the whole village goes into lockdown.

But just as Casper is having fun with his new friends, some of the other ghostly crew show up to mess everything up. Casper and his new friends have to find ways to stop their ghastly games and save Halloween before it is too late.
Raggedy Ann and Andy in The Pumpkin Who Couldn’t Smile
I must admit, I was never really much of a Raggedy Ann or Andy fan so I don’t really remember this one. But the plot’s pretty simple. On Halloween, Raggedy Ann and Andy know a boy who needs a pumpkin. They go out in a search for a pumpkin who needs a boy.
The Flintstones Meet Rockula and Frankenstone
