Thanksgiving Turkey is the centerpiece of most holiday tables. But, not everyone is particularly gifted in the art of cooking. And Thanksgiving puts that on full display!
Since I love a good laugh, I looked at some of the wildest Thanksgiving turkey creations on the internet. Some made me gasp. Some made me giggle. Some made me reach for a napkin and a life decision.
And of course, I had to share them with you. Paired with the perfect #cupofmood, of course! So let’s go!

Thanksgiving Turkey Made From Hot Dogs!

First up is the hot dog turkey. It is a turkey made from a pile of hot dogs and clever carving. And of course, what would hot dogs be without fries on the side? For me, the visual is more chew than charm.
Therefore, I paired it with a Count Your Blessings mug. That’s because I’m counting my blessings that I’m not eating that as a Thanksgiving turkey stand in!
Now, let me warn you. This one is mild considering some of others you’ll see. So let’s continue.

Behold: The Spam Turkey Nobody Asked For.

Next is the Spam carved turkey. Yes, Spam. First, I don’t eat pork so it’s not likely I would try this one. Also, it just isn’t visibly appealing because it looks like a pale mini bird. So for both of those reasons, it’s a firm nope for me.
Now I paired it with a tumbler that says Gettin’ Piggy With It. The cup kind of asks the question I want to know, are you getting piggy with a spam Thanksgiving Turkey?

Is This Rice Krispie Turkey Is Too Cute to Eat?

I don’t know about you but I love a good, homemade Rice Krispie Treat! So, this Thanksgiving Turkey option is a yes for me for a couple of reasons.
One is someone took the time and energy to actually shape a sweet cereal treat into a bird. Sometimes I struggle with just getting them into the one pan in one piece. So my hat is off to the person with the time, energy, talent and discipline to create this.
Though, I do kind of wonder, how many times the creator ate a piece of the body and had to reshape it. I know that would have been my issue.
For that reason, I pair it with a Gobble Til You Wobble mug. I would definitely gobble all of this until I wobbled! In fact, this pairing says dessert but for me, it just might be the main course.

Gobble or Nah? The Turkey With a Face!

Ummm, I kind of don’t know what to say about this one. The creativity is off the charts! With the lemons under the skin that look like breasts. The boiled egg on top becomes a head. With what looks like capers for eyes. I’m still trying to figure out what the hat is made of. And you gotta love the herbs shoved in the neck turn into a fancy green collar.
So, I paired this curious bird with a Rae Dunn Gobble Gobble mug. Because yes, I would gobble this Thanksgiving turkey!

Would You Eat This Ocean Stuffed Turkey?

You know that viral TikTok sound made famous by Justin Bieber, “immediately no”? As the saying goes, Immediately no! Immediately no! I’m telling you now, I’ve seen what I needed to see…”
In the words of Lizzo, That’s exactly how I feel, about this turkey stuffed with an octopus and crab legs kicking out the sides. Especially with the two olives on toothpicks that serve as eyes. It is dramatic, ocean-meets-holiday chaos.
Of course, the natural match was this Crustacean Coffee Cup . The marine cup makes a wild match for the sea-swathed turkey.

The X Rated Turkey You Can’t Unsee — OMG

I have to admit, I’m side eyeing the person who created this Thanksgiving turkey. On the one hand, it looks like if it cooked a little longer it might taste ok.
But it’s the creative use of the neck and giblets that have me asking questions. I mean, who even thinks like that?In all the years I’ve made turkey for my family. And I mean DECADES of making Thanksgiving turkey. And not one time, did I ever think to put the neck and giblets together like this.
So I applaud the creativity and the fact there appears to be seasoning on it, I’d try it. But you’d have to move the neck and giblets so I could try to act like I never saw them like that.
I paired this image with a Monogrammed Thanksgiving Turkey Wine Glass. Why because that type of creativity deserves to have a monogram!

Would You Try Any Of These Creative Thanksgiving Turkeys?

Of course, these images are not recipes. They are internet moments. They are jokes, experiments, and creative fails. Some people will call them art. Some will call them crimes against gravy. I enjoy the mix. I want the laugh. I want the reaction. I want the share.
If you are planning your own Thanksgiving turkey, you can still keep things normal. Roast, baste, and carve.
In fact, if you’re looking for some tips on how much food you need for Thanksgiving Dinner, check out this CupofMood blog. That’s if you’re planning to do things the traditional way.
Or you can take a page from the internet and go full circus. Either way, add a cup that fits your mood. A themed mug or glass makes the table fun. It also makes great photos for your feed.
When I post these photos, I ask the simple question. Would you eat it? The answers are the best part. People vote with their eyes and their stomachs. Comments range from “Heck yes” to “Nope, never.” The back-and-forth becomes part of the holiday fun.
