There is just something incredibly satisfying about sipping delicious drink recipes from the perfect glass. ☕🍹✨ Honestly, I think drinks become part of the entire mood. The glass matters, the colors matter, and even the little details like the garnish, the straw. Or even the fresh mint somehow make the experience feel even more special.
That is exactly why I wanted to put together this collection of delightfully delish drink recipes. They’re inspired by some fun vintage recipe books I found while on the prowl at some thrift stores looking for the next perfect #cupofmood!
And since it’s the month of May, I thought, why not create a blog featuring delish drinks that start with the letter M. The creative writer in me loves the alliteration of marvelous M drinks during the month of May. 💖
I also tried to choose a little bit of everything. Some of these drinks are refreshing and fruity, some feel bold and dramatic. While others are playful classics that instantly make me think about summer gatherings, vacations, and relaxing evenings at home.
Even better, I included mocktail ideas for every recipe so you can easily enjoy the flavors your own way.
Of course, every drink is paired with unique drinkware from CupofMood because delicious drinks and beautiful glasses truly belong together.

🍉 Magnificent Melon Trio

The moment I looked at this bright, colorful drink, I immediately knew it deserved a fun and cheerful name. “Magnificent Melon Trio” felt absolutely perfect because the drink combines three refreshing melon flavors while also matching the playful watermelon tumbler so beautifully. Honestly, the entire combination feels like sunshine in drink form. ☀️🍉
There is something so refreshing about melon drinks during warmer weather. The colors feel cheerful, the flavors taste bright and juicy, and every sip instantly feels relaxing. For this recipe, I paired the drink with the adorable Watermelons Jumbo Acrylic Tumbler because it practically screams backyard lounging, poolside afternoons, and happy summer energy.

🐭 Mickey Mouse Float

This drink immediately made me smile because it feels nostalgic, playful, and fun in the best possible way. Calling it the “Mickey Mouse Float” simply made sense because the creamy soda-shop style drink pairs perfectly with the collectible Mickey Mouse mug and instantly brings back cheerful memories of classic Disney treats and old-fashioned diners. 🐭✨

Mocktail Mood Twist
This recipe already works beautifully as a family-friendly mocktail-style dessert drink. You can also swap cola for root beer or cream soda for a fun twist that feels even more old-fashioned and nostalgic.
This drink honestly feels like pure happiness in a glass. It reminds me of carefree summer moments and cheerful amusement park treats, while the thick glass mug makes the entire experience feel even more collectible and fun. Disney lovers and collectors would absolutely enjoy this pairing because it transforms an ordinary drink into a joyful little experience.

🍸 Manhattan

Some drinks simply feel timeless, and the Manhattan is definitely one of them. The drink itself dates back to the late 1800s and is widely connected to the Manhattan Club in New York City, which is where many people believe the cocktail first became famous. That rich history honestly makes the name feel even more sophisticated and iconic. ✨
Now honestly, I have to admit that an Old Fashion is one of my all-time favorite drinks. It is truly not unusual to find me toasting with an Old Fashion in hand somewhere. In fact, whenever I go on vacation, I usually start my mornings with Bloody Marys before noon and then slowly slide into Old Fashions for the rest of the day. 🍹✨
A few years ago while visiting Manhattan on a birthday trip for Michael we had lunch at Versa. I saw a Manhattan on the drink menu and I finally decided to order an actual Manhattan cocktail. My reason was two-fold. One was because heck, I was in Manhattan, so why not?
And the other reason is because I kept hearing people compare it to an Old Fashion. To my surprise, they really are incredibly similar drinks. Both are whiskey-based cocktails with warm, smooth, classic flavors and that same cozy old-school cocktail lounge vibe.
However, the biggest difference is that an Old Fashion typically focuses more directly on the whiskey itself with sugar, bitters, and citrus, while a Manhattan uses sweet vermouth to create a softer, slightly sweeter, and more layered flavor profile. That little difference is honestly just enough for me to still keep Old Fashions as my personal go-to favorite, although I definitely understand why Manhattan lovers are so loyal to the drink.
For this recipe, I paired the Manhattan with the Colorful Classic Cocktail Recipe Glass because it honestly feels like the perfect match for a classic cocktail lover. Not only does the glass feature the Manhattan recipe directly on the side, but it also includes several other vintage cocktail recipes as well, which instantly gives it that old-school cocktail lounge personality.
Indeed the combination of the recipe artwork, the retro styling, and the classic Manhattan drink itself makes the entire pairing feel elevated, nostalgic, and incredibly fun for entertaining.

Ingredients
- 2 ounces rye whiskey or bourbon
- 1 ounce sweet vermouth
- Dash of bitters
- Ice cubes
- Luxardo cherry or maraschino cherry
- Orange peel garnish
Directions
Fill a shaker with ice and combine the whiskey, vermouth, and bitters. Shake gently until chilled, strain into a cocktail glass, and garnish with a cherry and orange peel for a smooth finishing touch.
Mocktail Mood Twist
For a mocktail-inspired version, replace the whiskey with black tea concentrate or an alcohol-free whiskey alternative. Add a splash of cherry juice for extra richness and depth.
I love how sophisticated this drink feels without becoming overly serious. It is one of those classic drinks that instantly elevates an evening, especially when served in a recipe glass that blends functionality with vintage cocktail charm.

🐝💖 Meadow Bliss

The original vintage recipe name honestly felt a little too heavy for the cheerful spring feeling I wanted throughout this blog, so I renamed this drink “Meadow Bliss.” The name instantly feels softer, brighter, and much more aligned with the beautiful butterfly-and-bee-inspired Lenox glass. 🐝💖
Everything about this pairing feels elegant and peaceful. The delicate colors, the botanical flavors, and the crystal-inspired texture all work together beautifully to create a drink that feels relaxing before you even take the first sip.

Mocktail Mood Twist
Swap the gin with sparkling botanical water or cucumber tonic water for a fresh and herbaceous mocktail option that still feels elegant and refreshing.
This recipe feels incredibly calming and refined. It is the kind of drink I imagine serving during a quiet evening with soft music, candles, and meaningful conversation. The bee-inspired Lenox glass adds such a graceful touch that the entire drink feels elevated and comforting all at once.

🍫 Midnight Mocha Martini

Out of all the drinks in this collection, this one definitely has the boldest personality. The original vintage recipe name felt a little too intense compared to the rest of the cheerful blog, so I renamed it “Midnight Mocha” because the rich coffee tones, dark presentation, and dramatic black martini glass instantly made me think of a luxurious late-night dessert drink. 🍫✨
That moody elegance is exactly why I paired it with the Black Libby Bravura Martini Glass with the offset stem. The shape alone feels artistic, modern, and stylish in the best possible way.

Mocktail Mood Twist
This recipe works beautifully as a nonalcoholic dessert-style drink. You can also blend it with ice for a frozen mocha-banana treat that feels rich, creamy, and indulgent.
I honestly love how unique this drink feels. It has rich dessert flavors while still looking incredibly sophisticated and modern, especially when paired with the black martini glass that completely transforms the presentation and gives the entire drink a bold luxury vibe.

🌿 Mojito

The Mojito is one of those classic drinks that instantly makes people think about vacations, beaches, and warm tropical evenings. The drink itself has roots connected to Cuba and eventually became one of the most recognizable mint-and-lime cocktails in the world thanks to its bright, crisp flavor profile. 🌿✨
Honestly, Mojitos always make me think about one very specific vacation memory from Curaçao. While exploring Willemstad in the vibrant Punda area, I stopped at a place called The World Best Mojito because naturally I had to see if the name lived up to the hype. 🍹☀️
And honestly? It truly was one of the freshest Mojitos I have ever tasted. The mint tasted incredibly vibrant, the lime flavor felt perfectly balanced, and the entire drink somehow managed to feel both energizing and relaxing at the exact same time. It was one of those simple vacation moments that instantly becomes part of the memory of the trip itself.
The atmosphere made the experience even better. The World Best Mojito has this cheerful Caribbean energy mixed with relaxed island charm that instantly makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment. Between the colorful surroundings, the tropical flavors, and the welcoming vibe, it honestly felt like the perfect representation of Curaçao’s lively spirit.
That experience is honestly part of why I love Mojitos so much. A really good Mojito does not just taste refreshing. It feels refreshing.

I’ve also included my personal Curaçao Mojito photos in this section because they capture the tropical mood perfectly, especially paired with the colorful Curaçao mug and the Bacardi Mojito recipe glass. The entire combination feels bright, fun, vacation-inspired, and incredibly fitting for a blog filled with delightfully delish drink recipes. 💖
Since this recipe is paired with the Bacardi Mojito Recipe Glass, I thought it would be fun to also include Bacardi’s own Mojito recipe page.

Skip the rum completely and add sparkling lime water for a super refreshing alcohol-free version that still tastes bright, crisp, and cooling.
I genuinely think Mojitos are one of the most refreshing drinks ever created. The mint instantly wakes up the flavor and makes the drink feel cooling and energizing, which is exactly why this is the type of drink I would happily serve during summer cookouts, relaxing patio evenings, tropical vacations, or even quiet self-care moments at home.

Why Drinkware Truly Changes The Experience

From tropical cocktails and refreshing mocktails to elegant champagne toasts and classic whiskey drinks, the right drinkware helps transform simple drink recipes into memorable experiences.
In fact, one thing I always notice is how much better drinks feel when they are served in the right glass. A fun tumbler makes fruity drinks feel more cheerful, while a martini glass instantly makes a drink feel elegant and dramatic. Heavy glass mugs feel nostalgic and comforting, and even recipe glasses become conversation pieces because they combine style with personality.
That is one of the reasons I love collectible drinkware so much. The glass becomes part of the memory and part of the experience, and honestly, that little extra joy truly matters.
