The Campbell’s Soup Kids Were Born in 1904!
That’s right! The adorable tykes were first sketched in 1904 by illustrator Grace Drayton. In fact, she was known for her work in children’s books and comic strips. Drayton gave these kids their signature round faces and rosy cheeks. Which soon became a household symbol for warmth, comfort, and, of course, delicious soup!
In 2004 Campbell’s celebrated their 100th birthday by releasing this press release.
